site.btaValeri Simeonov Re-elected NFSB Leader

Sofia, October 28 (BTA) - The delegates to the Third Regular Congress of the National Front for Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB) Saturday unanimously re-elected Valeri Simeonov as leader by a vote of 147 in favour, with no votes against, the party's press office said.

The NFSB is part of the United Patriots group in Parliament and is represented in Boyko Borissov's government. Simeonov is Deputy Prime Minister.

The leadership remains unchanged, with Dancho Hadjiev and MPs Valentin Kassabov and Boris Yachev unanimously re-elected as deputy chairmen.

The congress approved the composition of a National Political Council.

Simeonov delivered a report about the period since the Second Congress in 2014.

The Statute was amended to provide for the setting up of a youth chapter for people aged up to 35. Also, the office of national coordinator was introduced and a congress will be held every four years instead of three as now.
