Sofia, October 30 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with members of the European Parliament's Committee on Regional Development (REGI), chaired by Bulgarian MEP Iskra Mihaylova, the Government's Press Service said on Monday.

"The Cohesion Policy reduces the differences between the members states. In Bulgaria, this could be seen in every town and the efforts to this end should not stop," Borissov said.

The committee members were unanimous that Bulgaria takes over the Presidency of the EU Council just in the right moment because the country can demonstrate the real achievements of the Cohesion Policy and the shared benefits for all member states.

Participating in the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, REGI Chair Iskra Mihaylova and MEPs Andrey Novakov, Angel Djambazki, Stanislav Polcak, Joachim Zeller, Matthijs van Miltenburg, Jens Nilsson and Younous Omarjee.
