Abu Dhabi/Sofia, June 4 (BTA) - On June 3 Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates signed a memorandum on the mutual recognition and replacement of driving licences issued by the interior ministries of Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a press release Monday.

The memorandum was signed after nearly eight years of negotiations between the governments of the two countries.

The memorandum was signed by Bulgarian Ambassador in the United Arab Emirates Bogdan Kolarov and Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates.
