November 26 (BTA) - The seventh edition of Rakia and
Spirits Fest will host over 300 types of rakia and other
alcoholic beverages from the Balkans. The venue is the National
Palace of Culture, on November 29 and 30, the organisers said.

Visitors will be able to taste a range of mature rakia from more
than 30 distilleries from Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, North
Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey, China, Brazil and elsewhere.

Exotic drinks include ones made from melon, pumpkin and dates.

Those who do not want to taste neat rakia can sample cocktails
made right in front of them.

The fest is attracting an increasing number of visitors with
each year, the organizers from Expo Team said. Cornflower rakia
with a price tag of 350 leva a bottle will be featured this
year.

Expo Team's Ivailo Zheglov said there are no accurate data on
rakia production in Bulgaria but it is definitely on the
increase. "I am quite certain that Bulgarian grape rakia is
unrivalled not just in the Balkans but worldwide," he said.
