August 8 (BTA) - Bulgaria's Chief of Defence Admiral Emil
 Eftimov met with US Land Forces Chief of Staff General James
McConville at the Novo Selo Training Area on Saturday, the
Defence Ministry said. The two discussed aspects of the training
 of Bulgarian and American service persons and the impact of the
 COVID-19 crisis on its intensity.

The use, future development and modernization of joint training
facilities and the prospects of cooperation between the two
countries' land forces were high on the agenda of the meeting.

Adm. Eftimov and Gen. McConville praised what has been achieved
so far and the good communication during joint activities.

Also participating in the meeting were US Ambassador Herro
Mustafa, the US Army Europe Commanding General, Lt. Gen.
Christopher Cavoli, the 21st Theater Sustainment Commanding
General, Maj. Gen. Christopher O. Mohan, and Bulgaria's Land
Forces Commander Maj. Gen. Mihail Popov. RY/DD
