site.btaParliament to Hold Extraordinary Sitting August 13

August 11 (BTA) - National Assembly Chairperson Tsveta Karayancheva called an extraordinary sitting of Parliament at 9 am on August 13.

The MPs are to discuss a resolution giving the Council of Ministers seven days to submit a budget update regarding the socio-economic measures related to the COVID-19 crisis. There will also be a hearing of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Interior Minister Hristo Terziyski about violence against journalists and protesters during GERB's national conference last week.

Last week the BSP for Bulgaria parliamentary group submitted a petition for an extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly to be held on August 10. RI/DD
