site.bta90 New Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Bulgaria in the Past 24 hours

August 16 (BTA) - A total of 90 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, out of 2,745 administered PCR tests, according to data on the national coronavirus portal on Sunday.

A total of 14,333 total cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Bulgaria since the start of the pandemic. Of these, 4,677 are active and 9,161 have recovered, 47 of which registered in the past 24 hours.

There are 811 COVID-19 patients in hospital facilities, 55 of whom have been admitted to intensive care units or clinics.

According to the national coronavirus portal, COVID-19 was diagnosed in 797 medical employees. Six new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.

The death toll has reached 495, with three new fatalities in the past 24 hours. RI/DT
