August 21 (BTA) - Protests against the government and Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev went into their 44th day on Friday with a fourth unexpected blockade in Sofia
in line with newly adopted tactics to block important pubic buildings.

After the previous blockades of the Justice Ministry, the Central Election Commission and the Counter-Corruption and Unlawfully Acquired Assets Forfeiture Commission on Friday protesters blocked the entrance of the building of the Bulgarian National Television.

They said that the public television does not provide objective coverage. The blockade was organized once again by the Borec Civil Movement.

There was police on the spot but there were no tensions or conflicts. An hour later protesters proceeded to the intersection at Eagles Bridge which is blocked by a tent camp.

During the protest on Thursday evening it emerged that on September 2 when Parliament reconvenes, the protesters plan to stage countrywide protests. On September 2 MPs are expected to consider the proposal of the ruling party GERB for a new constitution and calling a Grand National Assembly. RI/PP
