site.bta6,232 PCR Tests Confirm 203 New COVID-19 Cases, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 15,589
Sofia, August 26 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 15,589 on Wednesday after 203 new infections
were confirmed over the last 24 hours, out of 6,232 PCR tests,
according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg.
The active cases are 4,416. The hospitalized patients number
715, including 64 in intensive care.
A total of 104 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 10,601.
Nine new fatalities were reported, bringing the total death toll
to 572.
The Regional Coronavirus Task Force in Haskovo, Southern
Bulgaria, said on Wednesday that a coronavirus hotspot has been
detected in a facility for placement of foreigners in the
village of Lyubimets. Five persons there tested positive, out of
