August 28 (BTA) - Bulgaria's gross external debt amounted to 34,103.8 million euro (60.1 per cent of GDP) at end-June 2020, the Bulgarian National Bank reported on Friday. Compared with end-Juney 2019, it dropped by 88 million euro (0.3 per cent).

Long-term liabilities were 26,197.4 million euro (76.8 per cent of the total debt, 46.2 per cent of GDP) at the end of June 2020, increasing by 253.4 million euro (1 per cent) compared with end-January 2019.

The gross external debt of the general government sector stood at 5,682.9 million euro (10 per cent of GDP) at end-June 2020. Compared with end-June 2019, it increased by 268.9 million euro (5 per cent).

The gross external debt of the banking sector stood at 4,350.1 million euro (7.7 per cent of GDP) at end-June 2020. Compared with end-June 2019, it decreased by 150 million euro (3.3 per cent). RI/ZH//
