Sofia, September 7 (BTA) - Thirty-nine infections were confirmed in the 24 hours until Sunday midnight through 1,407 PCR tests, bringing Bulgaria's total to 17,089, according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg. The active cases are 4,256.

Currently, the hospitalized patients number 766, including 54 in intensive care. The total number of infected medical staff is 945.

Recoveries in the last 24 hours number 25, bringing the total to 12,157.

Five more fatalities were reported, bringing the total death toll to 676.

Blagoevgrad Region tops the list with 11 newly confirmed cases, followed by the capital Sofia with 10.
