site.bta5,145 PCR Tests Confirm 122 New COVID-19 Cases, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 17,435

September 10 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 17,435 on Thursday after 122 new
infections were confirmed over the last 24 hours out of 5,145
PCR tests, according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg.

Sofia City Region and Blagoevgrad Region top the list of new
cases with 21 patients each, followed by Bourgas Region with 15
and Varna Region with 12.

A total of 451,448 PCR tests have been performed since the first
 cases were diagnosed on March 8.

The active cases are 4,259. The newly infected persons include 9
 medical staff (1 doctor, 4 nurses, 2 orderlies and 2 other),
and this category now totals 982.

The hospitalized patients number 753, including 60 in intensive
care.

Another 177 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 12,474.

Ten more fatalities were reported, and the death toll now totals
