Sofia, September 12 (BTA) - In a position released on Saturday, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry says Bulgaria welcomes the normalisation of the ties between Israel and Bahrain. The two countries' decision to normalise their relations, achieved through the decisive mediation of the United States, is yet another important step towards overcoming the atmosphere of confrontation in the Middle East, the Bulgarian position reads.

These efforts, which are in the interest of world peace and security, should continue with consideration for the interests and rights of all countries and peoples in the region. It is of key importance that this process lead to comprehensive and fair solutions to the existing problems, Bulgaria's position reads further.
