site.bta216 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In 24 Hours

September 29 (BTA) - A total of 216 people have been
diagnosed with coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours,
out of 3,302 PCR tests performed, according to data on the
national coronavirus portal on Tuesday morning.

Eleven people have died from the infection in the past day, bringing the total death toll to 807.

A total of 20,271 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 5,125 are active. Out of these, 780 people are hospitalized and 42 have been admitted to intensive care units.

In the past 24 hours, 64 new cases were registered in Bourgas, 30 in Sofia, 22 in Plovdiv and 15 in Stara Zagora.

A total of 163 patients recovered from the infection in the past day, making the total number of recoverees 14,339. RI/DT
