site.bta4,820 PCR Tests Confirm 240 COVID-19 Cases, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 21,336

October 3 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 21,336 after 4,820 PCR tests identified 240 new infections in the 24 hours until Friday midnight, according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg.

A total of 538,955 PCR tests have been performed since the first cases were diagnosed on March 8.

The active cases are 5,559. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 887, including 50 in intensive care.

Another 152 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 14,939.

Six more fatalities were reported, and the death toll now totals 838. RI/VE
