site.bta2,843 PCR Tests Confirm 182 COVID-19 Cases, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 21,518

October 4 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 21,518 after 2,843 PCR tests identified 182 new infections in the 24 hours until Saturday midnight, according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg.

The highest number of new cases were registered in the regions of Sofia-City (59), Plovdiv (20), and Turgovishte (15).

The active cases are 5,693. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 912, including 54 in intensive care.

Another 45 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 14,984.

Three more fatalities were reported, and the death toll now totals 841. RI/DS
