site.btaPositive PCR Test Results for COVID-19 at 25% on Sunday

October 19 (BTA) - Bulgaria's healthcare authorities confirmed 395 new cases of COVID-19 in the country in the 24 hours until Sunday midnight after conducting 1,581 PCR tests, putting the share of positive test results at 24.98 per cent, according to data published on the national coronavirus web portal https://coronavirus.bg.

The previous day, the share of positive test results was 13.1 per cent.

The total number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Bulgaria since the start of the pandemic reached 29,503. There are 11,574 active cases.

Eighteen people died of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 986. Meanwhile, 31 patients recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 16,943.

One thousand and five hundred patients are hospitalized, 74 of them in intensive care units. RI/VE
