site.btaMore Tests Confirm Fewer New Cases Over Past 24 Hours

Sofia, October 30 (BTA) - The past 24 hours in Bulgaria
registered 2,689 new COVID-19 cases, according to the
information site coronavirus.bg on Friday morning. This is 71
cases fewer than the record high statistics from October 28. The
 number of PCR tests over the past 24 hours was 11,376 (up from
9,946 the day before). Thus, the positivity rate dropped from
27.7 to 23.6 per cent.

The death toll reached 1,225 with 28 new fatalities since
yesterday.
 
A total of 2,376 people are hospitalized, and 167 of them are in
 intensive care units.

Since the first cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria were registered in
 March, their total number now stands at 48,150, of whom 27,230
are active.
