Germany, France Impose
New Anti-epidemic Measures
for Arrivals from Bulgaria

Sofia, October 24 (BTA) - On Sunday, Germany added Bulgaria and Croatia to its list of high-risk areas for COVID-19 infection, thus introducing a minimum of five days of quarantine for passengers arriving from the two countries, who have not yet been vaccinated or recovered from coronavirus, DPA reported.

In total, nearly 70 countries around the world have been declared high-risk areas for COVID-19 infection by Germany. Anyone who has not recovered from the virus or has not been fully vaccinated and arrives to Germany from these countries must be subject to a 10-day quarantine. This time can be shortened upon providing a negative coronavirus test five days after arrival.

Along with Croatia and Bulgaria, Cameroon, Singapore and the Republic of Congo were added to the list of high-risk countries on Sunday, and Kenya, Kosovo, Iraq and Honduras were removed. Three other EU countries, Romania, Lithuania and Slovenia, are also currently on the list.

In France, although Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania remain in the green zone, unvaccinated travelers and those who do not have a certificate of illness must have a negative PCR test or antigen test performed within the last 24 hours before departure (departure of the first flight on a transfer trip) and not 72 hours as it was previously.

The vaccines recognized in France are those approved by the European Medicines Agency - Pfizer / Comirnaty, Moderna, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria / Covishield, Janssen.
