Bulgaria Will Not Replace Russian Fighters Until It Finds More Modern Armament - PM

Sofia, November 5 (BTA) - "We do not have any intention to bury
the Bulgarian Air Force with the Rearmament Programme 2020,"
caretaker Prime Minister Georgi Bliznashki said at the National
Assembly. He added that the existing equipment will not be
removed until better replacements are found.

This is how Bliznashki replied to fears expressed by MP Ivan
Todorov that by removing Russian fighters Bulgaria will remain
without war planes and the security of the Bulgarian air
territory will be provided by the Turkish Air Force.
