BNB, SANS Sign Instruction for Cooperation

Sofia, August 14 (BTA) - The Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and the State Agency for National Security (SANS) signed an instruction of cooperation, BNB said.

According to the instruction, which is a public document, the two institutions will interact in the prevention of money laundering, financing of terrorism and prevention of offences, related to Bulgaria's economic and financial security.

The interaction will take the form of joint checks, exchange of information, expert and technical assistance and other methods within the competence of BNB and SANS. Holding of joint courses and seminars is also envisaged.

The new rules and procedures for interaction between BNB and SANS are the first steps in the establishment of a new institutional framework for cooperation between BNB and other public institutions, reads the message.
