PM Borissov Confers with Chinese Culture Minister Luo Shugang

Sofia, November 13 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov conferred Friday with Chinese Culture Minister Luo Shugang, the government's information service said. The Chinese official is visiting Bulgaria between Thursday and Friday in connection with the Second Cultural Cooperation Forum of the Culture Ministers of Central and Eastern Europe and China (in a 16+1 format), which opens in Sofia on Friday.

At the meeting Borissov and the Chinese guest concurred that the bilateral cooperation in culture is on high level but there is still untapped potential for development.

The participants in the talks noted that good contacts have been established between the two countries' culture ministries and that the presentation of Chinese cultural events in Bulgaria has become a tradition.

Borissiv said that the inter-cultural dialogue is an important factor for dealing with many challenges and that dialogue and understanding can be boosted by means of culture.
