Third Day of Kilometres-long Lines of Trucks at Danube Bridge Checkpoint
Rousse, on the Danube, December 3 (BTA) - The kilometres-long lines of trucks at the Danube Bridge border control checkpoint continued for a third day in a row Thursday. The reason is the introduction of payment of road tolls and vignette fees for trucks only through a point of sale by a credit or a debit card as of December 1.
Some of the drivers do not have debit or credit cards and seek the assistance of colleagues, which slows down the crossing through the checkpoint.
The line of trucks along the international Bulgaria Boulevard was around 10 km long on Thursday morning.
There were long lines also at the Kapitan Andreevo border control checkpoint on Thursday.
