The agreement is valid for three years. It will serve as a framework of cooperation in anti-corruption education in Bulgarian universities, which will be provided with sets of academic modules and study materials. The University of National and World Economy will be the first to pilot the project in 2016/2017.

UNODC Executive Director Yury Fedotov praised Bulgaria for being the second country to join the initiative. He said Bulgaria's cooperation and anti-corruption efforts were appreciated and followed with interest.

At a meeting in Vienna later in the day, Meglena Kuneva and Madina Jarbussynova, the OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, agreed that Bulgaria and the OSCE will cooperate in combating human trafficking during the current Bulgarian chairmanship of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers and the upcoming Presidency of the EU in 2018.
