Sofia, September 7 (BTA) - The Disciplinary Committee of the Chamber of Private Enforcement Agents said there were 66 disciplinary proceedings against private enforcement agents between January and August 2017, as against 46 in the whole of 2016.

The Disciplinary Committee Thursday suspended private enforcement agent Ivan Cholakov for three years. The harshest punishment was imposed after the Chamber checked seven enforcement cases instituted by Cholakov and found systematic violations. Twenty complaints were filed against him between February and August, five of which led to disciplinary proceedings.

Cholakov was involved in a scam using counterfeit promissory notes to claim receivables from unsuspecting people.

The Chamber Council has asked for two suspensions for Cholakov, for one and for three years while the proceedings are under way, and fines including the maximum fine of 10,000 leva.
