Sofia, September 30 (BTA) - The Right-wing Bulgaria for the Citizens Movement (BCM) elected with a full majority in an open vote Dimiter Delchev as its new chair during the party's fourth national convention.

Delchev remained the only candidate for the post, vacated by Meglena Kuneva, after the other candidate, Bogdana Stoeva, withdrew from the race.

The new BCM leader told journalists after his election that the party' immediate tasks are related to the next local elections and a broad anti-GERB coalition, of which BCM will be a part. The goal is to break the model of feudalization, which Borissov's party uses to govern locally, and which in Delchev's words, is sucking the resources of municipalities.

Delchev sees as potential partners parties that are part of the democratic community, as well as organizations for which the change of Bulgaria is a cause. According to him, the Reformist Bloc could turn into precisely such a big coalition.

BCM's previous leadership resigned this April after the loss suffered by the Reformist Bloc, of which it was part, in the March 26 early parliamentary elections.

Kuneva wished her successor a strong start.
