Sofia, October 19 (BTA) - Interior Minister Valentin Radev conferred Thursday with Slovakia's Interior Minister Robert Kalinak who arrived on a visit to Bulgaria.

The two ministers discussed the upcoming Bulgarian EU Presidency and the topics the country will raise during it. The guest shared his country's experience in ensuring the security during the presidency and suggested sending experts to check for gaps in the system, Radev told reporters after the meeting.

Kalinak said that Bulgaria is well prepared and will have a successful EU Presidency. He also said that Bulgaria should join the Schengen Area and that the country has done a good job of protecting its borders.
