Sofia, March 28 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov had a telephone conversation with Slovenian President Borut Pahor, the Government Information Service said on Wednesday.

The two expressed regret that they had been unable to confer within the framework of Pahor's official visit to Bulgaria because of the holding of the EU-Turkey Leaders' Meeting. They stressed the significance of the exchange of views in Varna between the Presidents of the European Council, the European Commission and Turkey, on which the Prime Minister briefed the Slovenian head of State.

Pahor congratulated Borissov on his perseverance in seeking ways to achieve understanding, agreement and security in the region. Particular attention was paid to building transport, digital and energy connectivity in the Western Balkans, which will give those countries an opportunity for development and a perspective, the press release points out.
