An earthquake epicentred in Turkiye shook up the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas around 12:50 pm on Wednesday. BTA saw people fleeing their homes on higher floors of residential buildings.
The tremor was felt a minute after a warning for a quake of 5.6 on the Richter scale was received on the cell phones of Burgas residents.
The quake was felt across the city. Tall streetlights in the city swayed in the tremor.
Many schools went ahead with evacuating their students.
