The 15th edition of a regional culinary exhibition-competition for traditional dishes and drinks in Bulgarian cuisine will be held on December 17 in Pernik.

The participants from cultural institutions throughout the region will once again present an authentic meal related to a church-Christian holiday of their choice, excluding Easter. Prizes are provided for the most attractive proposals.

The jury, which this year will evaluate the presented feasts, will be chaired by Associate Proffessor Milena Lyubenova from the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Interest in the exhibition, organized every other year, is growing. The fact that both regular and new cultural institutions are included in each edition is evidence of this. Among the participants this year will be the community centres from the villages of Egalnitsa (Municipality of Kovachevtsi), Priboy (Municipality of Radomir) and Bogdanov Dol (Municipality of Pernik).

Folk singer Stanislava "Sunny" Dimitrova will perform at the event.
