Environment Minister: Renegotiating Carbon Emissions in Recovery and Resilience Plan Carries Responsibility

Caretaker Minister of Environment and Water, Rositsa Karamfilova-Blagova, said in an interview for Nova TV on Sunday that her Ministry is working in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy to complete the two tasks assigned by the National Assembly to the executive regarding the Recovery and Resilience Plan - to drop the commitments for a 40% reduction in carbon emissions compared to the 2019 levels and to guarantee the operation of coal-fired power plants until 2038. The Minister specified that those tasks are very hard and carry a lot of responsibility.
