The Bosilegrad Cultural and Information Centre (CIC) is the winner of this year’s Maxim Minchev Award for contribution to the development of civil society and democratic values, it emerged at Tuesday’s celebration of the eighth anniversary of the opening of the BTA press club in Bosilegrad, Serbia.
The award was instituted in October 2021 by the Managing Board of the GLAS Association of Bossilegrad to commemorate late Maxim Minchev, who was director general of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) between 2003 and 2020.
BTA Deputy Director General Evgenia Drumeva presented the award to CIC Chair Ivan Nikolov.
The previous two winners of the award were the civil association Eko Kraiste (represented by Branko Mitov), because of their fight against the environmental problems of the Bosilegrad Municipality, and the teacher and artist Ljubisa Penev, who works with children in various initiatives, recalled GLAS Association President Aleksander Dimitrov.

Сърбия - Национален пресклуб на БТА - Босилеград - награда „Максим Минчев”
Босилеград (12 декември 2023) Носител на тазгодишната награда „Максим Минчев”, учредена преди три години от Сдружение „ГЛАС“ – Босилеград за принос в развитието на гражданското общество и демократичните ценности, е Културно-информационният център (КИЦ) на българското национално малцинство „Босилеград“ в Сърбия.
Наградата връчи заместник генералният директор на Българската телеграфна агенция (БТА) Евгения Друмева на председателя на КИЦ „Босилеград“ - поета, писател и общественик Иван Николов, по време на отбелязването на осмата годишнина от откриването на пресклуба на БТА в Босилеград, което се състоя днес.
Предишните двама лауреати на наградата са „Еко-Краище“ (в лицето на Бранко Митов), заради тяхната борба с екологичните проблеми на Община Босилеград, и учителят и художник Любиша Пенев, който в свободното си време работи с деца в различни инициативи, припомни председателят на Сдружение „ГЛАС“ – Босилеград Александър Димитров.
Културно-информационният център на българското национално малцинство „Босилеград“ в Сърбия е основан на 11 декември 1997 г. като филиал на гражданското сдружение Културно-информационен център на българското малцинство „Цариброд“, а негов председател оттогава до днес е Иван Николов, сочи справка на отдел „Справочна“ в БТА, която бе представена от Евгения Друмева преди връчването на наградата.
