Sofia Opera and Ballet's gala tour began in Turkiye on Wednesday night with a performance of the opera "Tosca" at the State Opera and Ballet, Ankara.
Opera lovers in the Turkish capital, including many expatriates from Bulgaria as well as Bulgarian guests, enjoyed the show in the centre of Ankara. The entire hall rose to its feet at the end of the performance, as director Plamen Kartalov, conductor Sunay Muratov and the musicians were sent off with several minutes of applause.
On November 11, the opera will also be shown at the Ataturk Cultural Centre in Istanbul.
