Russian drones have been heading towards Ukraine’s Mykolaiv region, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Telegram late Monday evening.

The drones are flying from the Kherson region towards the Mykolaiv region, they added.

An air raid alert sounded throughout the Mykolaiv region at 9:49 p.m., regional governor Vitalii Kim said.

Some 5,000 Bulgarians live in Mykolaiv’s district, Ternovka. The earliest Bulgarian settlers near the city of Mykolaiv founded the settlement of Ternovka in 1802. In the early 21st century, Ternovka became a district of Mykolaiv.
