Powerful explosions reverberated in Odesa Thursday night after the city and the district were again attacked by drones.

The official channels of the local authorities on "Telegram" reported a drone attack by sea. Debris from a downed drone has fallen on a multi-storey apartment building in Odesa. A fire has broken out. Rescuers neutralized it.

Head of the Odesa regional military administration Oleg Kipper reported on "Telegram" that the information about the injured is still being clarified.

The air raid alert was declared at 10:40 pm local time. Authorities are asking residents to remain in shelters until the air raid alert is over.

The Bulgarian community in the Odesa region is the third largest in Ukraine, numbering over 150,000 according to the official 2001 census. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovs'kyi districts.
