Bulgaria's manytime national champion Alexandra Feigin qualified for the free skating programme at the women's singles figure skating competition of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

The 19-year-old received 59.16 points (32.36 points for technical elements and 26.80 points for programme components), scoring her season's best result.

Feigin made no mistake in any of her jumps: a double Axel, a triple toe loop / triple toe loop combination, and a triple Rittberger.

She is certain to be among the finalists at Thursday's free skate.

After Tuesday's performance, Feigin told the media: "I was very relaxed, I had no anxiety, which was rather strange. It was because of the atmosphere. I showed all I had been training for. I just told myself that the most difficult part was over and now I had to do my best. I had to do it for myself, not for someone else." RY/VE
