BSP-United Left has strong measures to support young people and children in its programme, said top-of-the-list candidate in Stara Zagora Dragomir Stoynev on Monday. He noted that the party has prioritized dealing with the demographic crisis and the depopulation of certain areas in their programme. He emphasized that the party's leading policies include increasing incomes of the most vulnerable people and targeted investments in young families.
Stoynev recalled that two legislative initiatives of the BSP led to free kindergartens for all children and free textbooks for all students. He promised the party's commitment to free prescription drugs for all children up to 16 years old, as well as for people over 75 years.
He said that among the other social policies that the party defends are the one-time allowance for the birth of a child to increase to BGN 5,000 for the first child and to BGN 10,000 for the second and third child, as well as an increase in the amount of maternity leave in the second year to the level of the minimum wage.
