Vazrazhdane will work together with other parties of the Europe of Sovereign Nations group in the European Parliament for the repeal of regulations regarding liberalized trade with Ukraine, said the party's top-of-the-list candidate in Gabrovo Daniel Petrov.

He noted that the liberalization allows the uncontrolled import of goods and raw materials from Ukraine, since the Ukrainian agricultural industry is not subject to the regulation regarding the chemicals used, some of which are prohibited in the EU.

"Once again, the hypocrisy and double standard of the European institutions become evident. While Bulgarian producers are forced to comply with production rules and directives imposed by the European Commission, these regulations do not apply in Ukraine, where they can use heavy pesticides banned in the EU", said Petrov, adding that this makes their production cheap and accessible, but of dubious quality and potentially harmful to the health of Bulgarian citizens.
