Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) party leader Radostin Vassilev told party supporters in Vratsa, Northwestern Bulgaria, on Thursday that there is a blatant lack of justice in Bulgaria. "This disgusts people. There is no justice on the street, in the kindergarten when they accept your child, at work, even in retirement there is no justice because of the way pensions are determined. Not to mention criminal responsibility, for those who everyone knows are criminals, but stand at the front," Vassilev said.
In his words, the lack of justice leads to nihilism, to alienation from the state, to perceiving politics as something alien. The MECh leader pointed out that change must come through the executive and a large parliamentary majority, but, he said, in the next 2-3 years it will be necessary to go to elections frequently. And this, he said, would "drown" small political entities because they would not be able to sustain themselves for long. Vassilev explained that in the current campaign, the MECh party is financed by a state subsidy of BGN 136,000, his personal funds from his work as a lawyer and some help from the leaders of the lists.
