site.btaVerification of Voting Machines Starts ahead of Oct. 27 Elections
The process of verification of the voting machines for the October 27 early parliamentary elections started shortly before noon on Tuesday, the Electronic Governance Ministry said. The voting machines were brought to the Ministry from the Central Election Commission after the workday on Monday.
The verification is being monitored by the State Agency for National Security.
It is being done in secure environment, in the Ministry building, where a new camera has been mounted to live-stream the process with video and sound. The video stream can be observed by anybody from the Ministry lounge.
The Ministry urges political parties, NGOs and other entities as per the Election Code, to participate in the process.
