The BSP - United Left Coalition campaigned in Yambol on Sunday. Regional list leader Krasimir Yordanov and candidates presented policies for young people with three main components: first job, first home, first child, which are part of 100 solutions envisaged by the Coalition for Bulgaria's accelerated development, said the local BSP press centre in view of the upcoming October 27 snap general elections.
The support for first jobs includes: young people up to 26 to be exempted from income tax if their income does not exceed two minimum wages; a tax holiday for a period of three years for graduates of higher education when they work in their field of specialization in Bulgaria; a programme for small business start-ups with national and EU funding for young entrepreneurs up to 29.
The support for the first home provides: up to BGN 40,000 state subsidy for the purchase or construction of a primary home for families with two or more children, where at least one parent is under 40, both are insured and with continuous employment in the last two years.
For the third component the Coalition proposes to increase the one-time allowance for the birth of a child - BGN 5,000 for the first, BGN 10,000 for the second and third child of insured parents; the maternity allowance in the second year to be the amount of the minimum wage; free medicines for all children up to 16 years of age; increase the one-time allowance for schoolchildren to BGN 350 and to provide it also for the fifth, sixth and seventh grades, the press centre adds.
