Candidates for MPs from the There Is Such a People (TISP) party in the 1st multi-member constituency (MIR) - Blagoevgrad officially opened their election campaign in the region with a solemn blessing-of-waters ritual for health and well-being in a church in Blagoevgrad, TISP's press centre said on Sunday.

"To be a guarantor of the protection of the national interest in every sphere of public life is our main mission, which we will follow in the 51st National Assembly as it has been so far," Pavela Mitova, leader of the regiona llist, was quoted as saying in the press release.

"We will be among the people during the campaign, so that we can hear their problems face to face, and we can directly introduce them to our proposals for solving some of them," said Stanislav Bogdanski, second on the list.

"Our list is made up of patriotic people who have proven that they can develop in our country and would represent the Bulgarian citizens with conscience and dignity," said Lilia Chakarova, TISP's regional coordinator.

TISP participates in the October 27 snap general elections with a list of 11 candidates for MPs in 1st MIR - Blagoevgrad.
