Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov told supporters in Petrich, Southwestern Bulgaria, on Saturday that his team has the "opportunity, desire, capacity and will to not only govern Bulgaria, not only revive it, but turn the country into the great power that it has been".
Kostadinov referenced sociological results according to which his party ranks second in terms of voters' support. He spoke of a difference of 7.5% that his party could overcome, according to him, by convincing the maximum number of people to vote, thus, increasing voter turnout. Kostadinov noted that if his party becomes first power in Parliament, then "not only Bulgaria, but Europe and the world will become different".
He stressed that the most repeated mantra about elections these days is that people are tired of them and see no point in voting because nothing changes, but, according to Kostadinov, that is not the case, since with each new elections "Vazrazhdane's support increases, GERB's support decreases, MRF [Movement for Rights and Freedoms] has split in two, BSP [Bulgarian Socialist Party] is on its way to disappear for good".
