Addressing party supporters in the southwestern town of Gotse Delchev, Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova argued that the BSP is the only authentic left party that will enter the next parliament.
"We have at least two reasons to ask support for BSP. The first - we remained the only party that in the last 10 years did not sell out, did not betray its people. We did not trade with the party for personal gain, we did not sell out the interests of our people for personal prosperity. We remained true to the end to what we promised - to work for the people. And the second reason, we did it in just 7 months while we were in government", said Ninova on Friday.
Attending the meeting were BSP top-of-the-list candidates in Blagoevgrad, Gotse Delchev Mayor Vladimir Moskov and the party’s regional chairman Valeri Sarandev.
The Socialist leader said that "the shadow of war weighs over Bulgaria, Europe and the world". “Let us all say loudly that we do not want war, we want peace and we will fight for it to the end! The first thing we will submit to Parliament, in the first 24 hours of the 50th National Assembly, is that Bulgaria will not send troops to Ukraine and does not agree to Western weapons being used against Russia," Ninova added.
