As at June 4, the candidates for members of the National Assembly number 6,100 and for MEPs, 418, Central Election Commission Spokesperson Rositsa Mateva told a news briefing here on Tuesday. Registrations of MP candidates are constantly being annulled, Mateva explained.
There are 1,826 women and 4,274 men running in the June 9 parliamentary elections in Bulgaria. Out of the 418 MEP candidates, 131 are women and 287, men, Mateva specified.
