Bulgarian national team player for the Billie Jean King Cup, Lidia Encheva, qualified for the singles final at the clay court tennis tournament in Kursumlijska Banja, Serbia with a prize fund of USD 15,000.

The Bulgarian, seeded number 2 in the draw, led Kristina Pochtovik (Ukraine) 6-1, 2-1 after 56 minutes, after which her opponent withdrew due to injury.

On Sunday, 18-year-old Encheva will play for the trophy against the winner of the match between No. 1 Anja Stankovic (Serbia) and Caijsa Hennemann (Sweden).

Lidia Encheva has climbed 66 places to a career-high 584th in the WTA world rankings after winning her first ITF clay-court title in Galati, Romania, at the end of June.
