Mountain hikers can expect good weather conditions on Friday morning, but the weather will turn in the afternoon, the Mountain Rescue Service said on Friday morning. Rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Western Bulgaria later in the day.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts light to moderate north-northeasterly wind in the mountains on Friday. The highs will be around 29C at 1,200 m and around 22C at 2,000 m.
