Bulgarian competitors won two medals at an international gymnastic parkour tournament for youths in Turkiye on October 21. Boris Pilev and Petar Mitsev from Ioan Dosev's Recreate club won silver medals in the speed and freestyle disciplines.
The competition, which was organized under the international project NoFire, part of the Erasmus+ sports programme, was hosted at the newly built parkour park in the municipality of Corlu.
"The kids performed excellently. We are very satisfied. The tournament was an opportunity for the athletes to fulfill one of their dreams - to have the opportunity to train for four days on this newly built track. We hope and work towards this happening in our capital in 2024. Then Sofia will be the world capital of sports. We managed to establish new contacts with the hosts and met representatives of the parkour society from Portugal," Dosev said after the competition.
