Bulgaria’s Iliyan Radulov will play against Branko Djuric from Serbia for the third place at the 2023 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals in Chengdu, China.

The Bulgarian lost in the semi-finals 3:6, 6:7(4) to Joel Schwerzler of Austria. The match lasted 1 hour and 39 minutes and Radulov had a 5:3 lead in the second set.

Thus Schwerzler got his revenge for the loss to Radulov in the semifinals of the tournament in Plovdiv.

The Bulgarian is currently No. 8 in the junior world rankings. This year Radulov won the J300 tournament titles in Plovdiv and Washington. He also reached the quarterfinals of the junior Grand Slam tournaments - Roland Garros and the Australian Open.

Radulov is the second Bulgarian to qualify for the best eight junior tournament of the year. In 2018, Adrian Andreev finished in third place.
