Deputy Sports Minister Daniela Dasheva Thursday awarded with honorary plaques the medalists and their coaches from the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, the World Wrestling Championships for hearing impaired athletes in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and the prizewinners in modern pentathlon.

"We admire your success! We wish you many more medals and quotas for the Olympic Games next year in Paris," she said and stressed that the athletes can always count on the support of her Ministry.

Dasheva awarded Mimi Hristova for the bronze medal in the category up to 65 kg at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, the bronze medalist in the category up to 87 kg (classic style) Semen Novikov and Ramazan Ramazanov, who finished third in the category up to 70 kg (freestyle). Petar Kasabov, coach of the national women's team, Bratan Tsenov, coach of the national team in classic style and Valentin Angelov, coach of the national team in freestyle, were also awarded.

Honorary plaques were awarded to Panayot Dimitrov, gold medalist in the category up to 57 kg (freestyle) and his coach Denislav Chamishki for their successes at the World Deaf Wrestling Championships.

Ralitsa Miteva, silver medalist at the European U21 Modern Pentathlon Championships in Istanbul, Türkiye, and bronze medalist in the mixed relay at the European U19 Championships in Lithuania, was also awarded at the ceremony. A plaque of honour was also presented to Emil Grozdanov for his bronze medal in the mixed relay at the European U19 Modern Pentathlon Championships in Lithuania. Dasheva also awarded Ralitsa Miteva’s coach - Panayot Pazderkov and the coach of Emil Grozdanov - Anna Georgieva.
